The Union of Rural Green Tourism conducted an online presentation of the Code of New Accommodation Standards for Holidaymakers in Rural Areas.
The union is one of the most powerful public organizations, which has been successfully developing the field of rural green tourism for many years, forming a civilized European market.
One of its main features is a unified system of standards and classification.
For the first time in the market of rural green tourism, the union is introducing standards for the provision of services for vacationers in rural areas. This landmark event caused a powerful resonance, which was evidenced by the huge number of the audience of the presentation - members of the Union, representatives of national and regional authorities, representatives of territorial communities, Western experts, public organizations, donors, media.
The report of Klaus Ehrlich, general secretary of the European Federation of Rural Tourism, who spoke at the opening of the presentation, aroused great interest among market participants. His speech related to the European experience of rural tourism standards, namely, similarities and differences in their implementation in different countries.
We hope that Ukraine will soon be among those countries that have a successful history of forming and applying standards - Austria, Germany, France.
UNDP international expert Konrad Drozdovsky gave an analysis of the system of standards that will be implemented in Ukraine, their importance in the global tourism landscape. He put the main emphasis on their customer orientation as a way to provide more efficient services, which will certainly lead to more intensive market development.
The main report, which related to the expected benefits and results of the innovation for all other market participants, was made by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union, Pavlo Horishevskyi. The point of view of estate owners who already provide services for vacationers in rural areas is very valuable and important. After all, first of all, innovations must be perceived and analyzed by them.
Oleksandr Palariev, head of the GS "Agro-ecological-recreational cluster Frumushyka-Nova" (Odesa region), Nadiya Mykhaylova, owner of the guesthouse "Country House - Silska Khatinka" (Poltava region), Oksana Budynska, spoke about encouraging the parties to implement new standards. owner of the guest house "Stavne 158" (Transcarpathian region).
Of course, it is always difficult to be the first to shape the market. But the first always remain the first.
The Chairman of the Board of the Union, Volodymyr Vasiliev, emphasized the motivation of the new standards as the principle of systematicity, obligation, optimality and, ultimately, perspective for the market. Today, when rural green tourism performs one of the most important missions, aimed at psychological and physical support of Ukrainians during the war, the adoption of the Code of new standards is an extremely important task. "The Code of Standards is a modern concept of the future development of our field," V. Vasiliev emphasized.
Currently, the board of the Union has received a lot of requests for re-presentation of the new standards, in a more detailed form for different target audiences. Therefore, the Association intends to focus professional communications on this topic in order to achieve maximum success from the implementation of standards for all market participants.
